It has taken me some time to get to writing my reviews after our wedding, but this is one that needed some time and effort. My husband and I got engaged in June, and after finding our venue (which had one open spot left in 2016) we decided to make it a short engagement and get married October 1. You brides can do the math...2.5 months. No sweat, right? Ha! Full time, demanding job, wedding in the hill country (I live in Houston)...needless to say, I was on the search for everything and quickly! My pastor had prior plans for that weekend so I had to find an officiant as well (add that to the long list of things to do). I stumbled across Scott and the Knot Tyer site. The reviews were amazing so I immediately reached out to him. Unfortunately, he was booked; however, he suggested I speak with Tim Denton. I thought I would at least entertain that as option and go from there. Let me just say that after speaking with Tim I knew immediately he was going to be the best fit for our wedding. He is kind, considerate and truly interested in getting to know his couples. Because we were out of town we couldn't meet in person so Tim took the time to video conference with us, get to know us more and give us a quick overview on how things would flow the day of the wedding. We filled out some paperwork to also tell him a bit about both of us to help him put together a custom ceremony. Fast forward to the rehearsal dinner where we had a quick walk through and he had a chance to visit with our families and guests. It was like he was part of our family and friends rather than our officiant. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and some of that is owed to Tim. I cannot tell you the number of compliments I received regarding the ceremony. Several people said it was the best ceremony they had ever heard. He was truly amazing and so personal. I got my short video back today and was reminded of what a special ceremony Tim put together for me and my husband. The bottom line here is that I see amazing reviews for Scott. After speaking with him I have no doubt you couldn't go wrong there. That said, please consider Tim as well. What a great experience and I would make the same decision if I had to do it again. We didn’t use Scott Payne, but…
Scott was booked when we contacted him, so he put us in touch with Tim Denton. Tim really took the time to get to know us as individuals as we as a couple. This meant a lot to us and he was able to provide just the ceremony we had hoped for and make it meaningful and personal!

Couldn’t have been better!
Tim met with us a couple weeks before the wedding to discuss what we were looking for. He then attended the rehearsal dinner and got to know our families and asked them to give him some insight on us. He used what he learned from us, and our family and friends in such a short amount of time and came up with a beautiful ceremony. It was humorous, heartfelt and just the right length. He did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend him to other brides!
